Yaya’s Tips for Success

These Sticky Buns are rich, gooey, and absolutely irresistible, thanks to a buttery brown sugar glaze and a hint of butterscotch flavor. Using frozen roll dough makes them easy to prepare, while an overnight rise gives them the perfect texture—soft and pillowy with a caramelized pecan topping.

To make sure your Sticky Buns turn out perfect every time, follow these tips:

  • Use a greased pan – This keeps the sticky caramel sauce from sticking too much.
  • Let the rolls rise overnight – This gives them time to absorb all the sweet, buttery goodness.
  • Don’t use instant pudding – The cook-and-serve butterscotch pudding creates the best texture.
  • Bake until golden brown – The tops should be deep golden for the best caramelization.
  • Flip the pan while warm – Let the buns sit for about 5 minutes after baking, then turn them onto a plate so the gooey topping covers the buns.

Yaya’s Customization Ideas

Want to make these even more special? Try these variations:

  • Make them extra nutty – Add walnuts or almonds along with the pecans.
  • Add a cinnamon twist – Sprinkle a teaspoon of cinnamon over the rolls before baking.
  • Go chocolatey – Toss in mini chocolate chips for a rich, melty treat.
  • Use different pudding flavors – Try vanilla or caramel pudding for a fun twist.
  • Make them fruity – Add a handful of raisins or dried cranberries for a sweet contrast.
