Instructions

  • Cut the covering from cheese. Let stand at room temperature about 1 hour or until softened.
  • Beat with electric mixer on medium speed for 1 minute.
  • Add sherry or milk and beat until smooth.
  • Chop almonds and add to mixture.
  • Serve immediately or if chilled, let spread stand at room temperature for 30-45 minutes.
  • Serve on bread or crackers.

Yaya’s Tips for Success

For the best flavor, always let your Brie cheese soften at room temperature before mixing. This step makes blending easier and results in a creamy, luxurious spread. If you’re using cream sherry, it adds a richer flavor, but milk works just fine for a milder taste. Toasting the almonds beforehand brings out their nutty aroma and adds the perfect crunch to every bite.

When serving, let the spread sit out for about 30 minutes if it’s been chilled, so it’s easy to spread and tastes just right. Pair it with warm bread or buttery crackers for a crowd-pleasing appetizer!

Yaya’s Customization Ideas

This Almond Brie Spread is so easy to personalize. Here are a few ways to make it your own:

  • Add honey or fig preserves for a touch of sweetness.
  • Stir in fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary for a savory twist.
  • Swap out almonds for toasted pecans or walnuts for a different crunch.

It also makes a great filling for puff pastry—just bake until golden and bubbly for an irresistible treat!
