YaYa’s Brussel Sprouts with Lemon Butter Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 16 oz. package frozen Brussels sprouts
  • 2 T. butter
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 1 t. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 t. salt

Instructions

  • Steam Brussels sprouts, covered, for 8 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.
  • Add butter and next 3 ingredients to pan, cook over medium-high heat 1 minute or until butter melts.
  • Add Brussels sprouts; toss gently to coat.

Use good quality butter—it really makes a difference in flavor with such a simple sauce.

Be sure to steam the Brussels until they’re just tender, not mushy. You want a little bite left.

Toss gently when combining everything so the sprouts stay whole and pretty.

If you like a little heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter sauce.

Want it richer? Use ghee or add an extra tablespoon of butter.
