Yaya’s Tips for Success
- If you’re making this ahead for a brunch or holiday breakfast, you can prep everything the night before. Just keep the cooked bacon, sautéed veggies, and cut biscuits stored separately in the fridge, and then mix it all together in the morning.
- I always use kitchen shears to cut the biscuits—makes the job quick and tidy. Be sure your tube pan is well greased so the bread slides out easily.
- And don’t skip the immediate inversion once it’s out of the oven—that steam helps release the bread perfectly.
Yaya’s Customization Ideas
You can easily tailor this to your family’s taste.
- Try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat, or swap out green peppers for red or orange if that’s what you have on hand.
- You could also use a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack for a cheesier bite.
- If you want to make it heartier, add cooked breakfast sausage in place of or along with the bacon.
