This easy recipe yields 50 cookies, combining creamed shortening, brown sugar, egg, flour, milk, and mix-ins. Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg unbeaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups bran Nut Flakes or other kind
  • 3/4 cup raisins
