Yaya’s Tips for Success

Choose asparagus spears that are firm and vibrant green with tightly closed tips. Snap off the woody ends by gently bending each spear. They’ll naturally break at the right spot. Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet. Giving the spears space ensures even roasting and crispy edges. Toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper before roasting for the best flavor.

Yaya’s Customization Ideas

Add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese during the last 5 minutes of roasting for a nutty, savory twist. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the roasted spears for a sweet and tangy finish. For a touch of heat, toss the asparagus with a pinch of red pepper flakes before roasting. Sprinkle toasted almonds or pine nuts on top for a bit of crunch.
