Yaya’s Tips for Success

Homemade fudge can be a little fussy, but a few tricks will help you get that silky texture every time:

  • Use a candy thermometer to ensure you hit the soft-ball stage precisely.
  • Stir constantly to prevent scorching the chocolate.
  • For smooth texture, don’t overbeat; stop as soon as it starts to lose its gloss.
  • Butter your pan well or line it with parchment for easy removal.
  • Let it cool completely before cutting for neat squares.

Yaya’s Customization Ideas

You can take this traditional chocolate fudge and make it your own.

  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch, or swirl in peanut butter before it sets for a rich twist.
  • For a holiday version, stir in crushed peppermint candy.

If you love chocolate sweets, try pairing this fudge with Chocolate Pie or Homemade Cocoa for the ultimate dessert spread.
