Ingredients
2cupssugar
½cupwater or milk
½cuplight corn syrup
2squares unsweetened chocolate
2tablespoonsbutter
1teaspoonvanilla
¼teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Mix the sugar with the milk (or water).
Add the chocolate and corn syrup, and stir until blended.
Boil gently until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (about 234°F).
Just before removing from the heat, add the butter.
Cool slightly, then beat until the mixture thickens.
